Diagnostic assessments of MFIs capacity to grow
One of the largest lenders to MFIs in India has contracted us to undertake diagnostic assessments of its partners. We have already done assessment of 30 of its MFI partners and are in the process of doing 15 more. We have also assessed three MFIs in Afghanistan on behalf of a consortinum of funders. Several MFIs have commissioned diagnostic assessments on their own in order to identify areas of improvement.
Trainings
We have trained over 500 management personnel from leading banks and MFIs in India and Afghanistan. Participants have reported enhancement of technical skills as well as increase in confidence levels. For more details on our trainings please visit our trainings website -

Valuation services for equity investment
We have done the equity valuation for one of the leading MFIs in India, having over 100,000 clients. This valuation is expected to faciliate flow of equity/quasi equity in this MFI. We have provided advice to several other MFIs on their capital structures.
Strategic business planning and projections
We have done over 10 business planning exercises for MFIs in India and Afghanistan. These business plans have been used by the MFIs for monitoring their own performance as well as for raising funds .
Long term mentorship engagements
We have over 20 mentorship clients in India and Afghanistan. Under these engagements we provide ongoing consultancy on aspects such as legal and organizational structure, business planning, risk management, financing mix, HR issues among others. It had been our experience that short term and modular consulting often does not really help an MFI. By engaging with them on the long term we become stakeholders in their growth as out own remuneration depends on their long term
performance.

We have recently conducted a portfolio audit of one of the leading MFIs in Afghanistan.
